The momentum continues this week as 435 new listings came on the market and I can’t think of any week with that many new listings. It”s typical that a lot of homes are listed for sale after the first of the year but for comparisons sake, this same week last year only had 299 new listings entered into the Charleston MLS.
And by the way, the 311 homes that went under contract this week was almost 50 percent higher than this week last year when 218 homes went under contract.
This week in Charleston real estate:
- 435 new listings came on the market at an average price of $363,675
- 311 homes went under contract at an average price of $259,119
- 171 homes were reported as sold this week in the Charleston MLS at an average price of $314,404
